Custom Built Home nestled into Mountain Woodlands – Fort Valley Virginia

Valley Builders and our teams has been a little absent from the blogging space. We have been very busy working on custom built home projects across the Shenandoah Valley. We have had a few custom garage projects as well. Hunting season always takes my time for a few months but spring is approaching and I have to start planning all my new projects. Even though hunting took up most of my time this winter I ended up putting in some serious work on a Custom Home in Shenandoah Valley!

Situated on Boliver road in Fort Valley. This 2300 square ft Custom Built Home is nestled nicely in the preserved woodlands of the area. Its anchored down by poured concrete walls and features a 2 car attached garage at the rear of the home. Atop this woodland property sits a custom built hip and valley roof with multiple dormers overlooking Fort Valley, Shenandoah County and the surrounding area. A hexagonal-gazebo was also commissioned at the forefront of the home. This traditional feature serves to seamlessly tie together the adjoining porch and roof. The angular design of the roof and gazebo give the home a formal elegance while the quaint wrap-around porch helps in maintaining its rural charm. These steep pitches also offer significant functionality, as they encourage snow and rain to slide off, preventing drainage issues and ice accumulation during inclement weather or during winter months.
