Breaking Ground on a New Garage & Carport – Fort Valley Virginia Part 2, June 13
We are still on the job in Fort Valley, Virginia building a 2000 square foot garage. We have poured the walls and backfilled the area so the floor can be poured. We have laid 5 courses of block before we built the vertical walls.
The crew and I are feeling the heat of summer! We have had some really hot days in the Shenandoah Valley. A few of the days have been over 90 degrees but we stay hydrated and start really early to beat the heat!
Today we are focusing on laying out the roof trusses! We had to bring in a crane to assist us setting the trusses. One of the most integral parts of a home is making sure the roof is square. Our crew is experienced and always makes sure everything in a Valley Builders project exceeds expectations and code.
We are lucky that we have the opportunity to do construction in such a beautiful place! Shenandoah Valley has so many natural wonders to offer its residence everyday!
Setting all of the trusses was a success! We were able to get through all of them in a day. Solid work boys. Next we will be doing siding, drywall, hanging plywood and putting on the shingles. I am very excited to post the final photos from this garage. It is going to turn out to be a beautiful addition to the exciting garage and property.
We have the ability to build 1 bay, 2 bay, 3 bay, 4 bay or larger garages. Call us anytime for a FREE quote to build your next garage. We work with clients all over the Shenandoah Valley and I-81.
Valley Builders might be located in Fort Valley but we are a mobile construction company. We provide construction and contracting services from Winchester to Harrisonburg. We work with clients in Woodstock, Strasburg, Mt. Jackson, Basey, Front Royal, New Market, Stephens City, Broadway, Middletown, Timberville, Luray and of course Fort Valley.
