Pole Barn Project – Fort Valley VA
We just completed another Pole Barn in beautiful Fort Valley! We are based out of Shenandoah County but have completed work in various towns across Shenandoah Valley that include Woodstock, Fort Valley, Strasburg, Middletown, Basey, Bryce, Front Royal, Winchester, Harrisonburg, Middletown and Stephen City etc.
We were commissioned by the landowner to construct a custom Bird Sanctuary. We enjoy custom construction project and are always willing to try something new and different. We work with the client to make their custom construction projects dream into a reality. The team was excited to get to work on this project as it will become an important refuge for injured native and migratory birds in the East Coast region. We were also excited as this project allowed us to greater showcase our Build-to-Suit capabilities at Valley Builders LLC. We began work by hauling in 2-3 dump truck loads of dirt to level the pad. We do not specialize in hauling but we can accomadate any of your dump truck hauling needs. Some unique features requested by the Land Owner include a 4’ tall chain link fence on the bottom part of the roof and the top portion of the walls. In addition to the fencing, the inside was constructed of 5 stalls to house and treat the birds, and a large communal rehabilitation space above the stalls for the birds to fly.
The outside was completed in 1×6 barn boards. The opening is 12 foot by 40 foot. The custom built barn is 24 foot by 40 foot. That is a total of 960 square feet. The floor has been completed with pea gravel. The sliding door is 8 foot by 8 foot. The door is a great feature.
